Right Mind: Kinusaiga Pumpkin Workshop

Join us for a Kinusaiga Workshop at the Caz Farm Brewery! During this workshop your host, Ashe of Forged from Ashe Studios, will teach you the basics of Kinusaiga (pronounced “key-new-sigh-ga”), a modern Japanese art form that transforms fabric scraps into rich, dimensional artwork that resembles a quilt or fabric “painting”. Ashe will teach you how to layer and tuck fabric into grooves on a foam board using vibrant fabrics, texture and traditional no-sew fabric inlay techniques to create a textile art masterpiece! Your completed pumpkin piece will measure 8×8 in.
This event is also hosted in collaboration with Magpie Custom Creations, Ashe’s studio neighbor in the Cortland Corset Building.
Your ticket includes all materials and instruction. All guests must purchase a ticket. We will update you with any changes via email before this event.
